This will be the very first fashion review I write for this blog and I am thrilled.  I love matching things to fit my mood of the day and it would be wonderful to share my outfit with all those who enjoy fashion in SL like me.  I like high fashion in general, be it casual or formal and I tend to stay away from those with too much exposure.

Here I wanted to be casual, but at the same time fashionable and trendy.  I was thrilled when I found this top at DE Designs as DE tends to be more on a fantasy direction, but when I saw this, I thought this top could be arranged nicely to look quite nice, if matched with other bottoms.  So that’s what I did.  I found this three-quarter-length pants at the Clothing Fair and it was sold as a fatpack containing this black and white colour called black trim houndstooth, as well as plain black, gray, houndstooth and khaki.  I love how it is so versatile.  You can match it up with very casual tank tops or something a little less casual like this one I am wearing today.  You can also match it up with boots, which will give you a whole different style.

Now the basic look was complete.  I then added this silver chain belt which I found.  I must apologise that now I don’t even remember the name of the store.   This is why I always try to include a landmark in the folder for each item, but I must have forgot with this one.  Now I regret that I did, as I would love to go back and get more only if I knew where it was.

Just to add some fun, I also added a red bangle.  I tried it with and without the bangles, but when I took it off, the whole thing just looked “too matched up” and I wanted to break that.   So it stayed.  This bangle is one of my favs as you can touch two of the loops and they change texture.   I bought the black & white one first, but I loved it so much that I went back and got all the other colours that were available; red, blue and green.

For my footwear, sometimes, I want to emphasize the shoes, but this time, since there is enough impact already, I decided to wear something that would “blend in” with the whole style.  This pale yellow pair from Adam n Eve did just that while adding an accent to complement the yellow on the top.

This outfit is great to go see friends or go shopping when you want to be casual but a bit more fashionable than a simple T-shirt and jeans look.

  1. Right click the item you’ve forgotten the origins of, and select “Properties.” This will bring up the creator of the piece. You can then look at their profile, and usually get to their store that way.

  2. Oh right! I do that with objects! But totally forgotten that I could do that! lol
    Thanks, Laynie!
BTW, I will be doing more reviews of some outfits and looks that I like. So I hope you’ll enjoy them. :-)

  3. Absolutely! I know I tend to do pretty crazy mashups with my own clothes, now I want to make a contest or something- show me how you wear your LaynieWear!
